Today, Huggie was feeling so much better, but I was kinda nervous. My dad and brother came to watch me show today and also my friend Jillian and her mom came to watch me show too. It was me and one other girl and a boy. I did really good butI was getting nervous at the end. I had a hard time with the bait because I would have to reach across to get the bait. I remember putting the bait in the wrong pocket and the judge told me to take my time. This was the first time that the judge has judged Juniors before. She was very nice too.

I got third place today. If I didn’t put the bait in the wrong pocket and didn’t drop the bait, I probably would have gotten first or second place. You should always take your time and not rush. I now know not to put the bait in my right pocket and to take my time. People could tell that I was struggling at the end and they knew that I was getting nervous.

The girl that was in front of me was showing a St. Bernard and I think she was getting nervous because she didn’t know who would win. Huggie wouldn’t put his tail up. There are some dogs that don’t really put their tails up. I remember dad doing a video with his phone.

We showed at the Fairgrounds. I had a really good time. Third place is still really good. Huggie was back to his happy and healthy self. At first, he wasn’t feeling so well so we gave him some NutriCal. He looked really exhausted, so we put him back in the crate and my dad took him home with him. My mom and I stayed at the dog show. Poor Huggie man! But he finally feels better. It was an awesome day.

Today, Huggie got sick right before the Juniors were supposed to go into the ring. My mom went to the Superintendent and had to do the paperwork to change my dog. The only other dog  that we had with us was KC.

She is only 7 months old and has only shown a couple of times. I have never shown her before so I was nervous. She actually did really good and wasn’t too scared of the big dogs in the ring with me.

I got third place today but it’s ok. The other kids did really good!

Today was my first All Breed show, not just Chihuahuas. (that is what a Specialty is for) We started out thinking I was going to be alone but there must have been a change in entries because another girl walked in after me. She had a St. Bernard. Boy are those big dogs!

I don’t know what got me more confused, the fact that I was not alone or the big pile of poop that came out of the St. Bernard’s butt in the ring, butI had a hard time following directions from the Judge. I got second place and that’s ok.

We decided to stay and watch the entire Junior Showmanship competition and boy did we learn a lot. We’ve never seen Juniors compete before. I sure do have a lot more to learn.
