Today was day two in Deland for the West Volusia Kennel Club and I showed again with Teddy. I did everything perfectly. It was me and tis other girl. Me and her did a great job and she got first place and I got second place. She showed a Corgi and I showed a Chihuahua. The judge was really nice too. First, I thought I wold get first place today. Oh well though. I stacked Teddy on the table, I did a triangle and I also did a  down and back with a free stack at the end and then all the way around. It was an awesome day and a fun day.

If I had gotten first place I would have gotten my first point and that would be so cool. I have never gotten first place against anyone before. That kinda makes me disappointed that I have never gotten first place against other juniors. I want to at least beat somebody so that I can get a point.

Teddy is really goo at free stacking. I just need to practice with him at stacking on the table. You hold their neck with one finger and you can hold their tail with another finger. I am so proud of Teddy and myself. You have to earn three points to go up to the Open Class. Everyone is so proud of me and I am too. I should be and that should be too. I appreciate my mom taking me to dg shows. That’s so very kind of her to do that.

The West Volusia Kennel Club held a Junior Seminar after Best in Show tonight and Rachel and I went to it. Ms. Megan spent a lot of time with each of us and she was really nice. She told me that I need to be more delicate with Teddy. To use my fingers, not my whole hand.  Ms. Mary-Lyn keeps telling me the same thing. I really need to start listening!

This was my first Junior Seminar. They are just for Juniors. It was a fun and exciting day.

Today was the first West Volusia Kennel Club show and it was my first time showing with Teddy. I have been practicing with Teddy for the last two months. There were no other kids in the Novice Intermediate class so had had to go in by myself. Teddy and I did an awesome job. Teddy is seven years old and loves to show. I did everything perfectly and I followed every instruction given by the judge. I smiled and I looked up at the judge and I talked to Teddy. I was so very proud of Teddy and he also put his tail up. I was very proud of myself too because I got first place.

The judge told me to go all the way around and stack my dog on the table, Then she told me to go down and back, free stack and then to do a triangle. She told me that I did a great job when she handed me my first place ribbon and I said, “Thank you mam”.

I got to go back in again for Best Junior Handler. I did different patterns than the Novice class does. I had to do a down and back, spotting midway and self stack. I’ve never down something like that before. I did it all correctly and it didn’t look hard. This was my first time doing that and I did an awesome job. There were eight juniors in the ring today for Best Junior Handler. Seven girls and one boy. Teddy and I did a great job today. I also earned a towel with my first place. Teddy and I got our first show picture together taken today.

The Morton’s are our friends and they came up to watch today. They have never seen me show dogs before and they have never been to a dog show. It was so nice to have them there when I did so well.
