My mom and I and also Hope and her mom, Mrs. Ernestine drove out to Sanford this afternoon for Hope and I to show Mrs. Kristie’s Aussie’s at a B Match. This was my very first time showing an Aussie and guess what? For my first time I did an awesome job!

Showing a large breed dog can be very tiring because you’re running with the dog. When you run with a large breed dog you start to sweat too.  First I went by myself and of course I got first place. Then I went again with Kristie’s daughter and I beat her and I got first place. Then I had competition with her daughter and Hope.

Of course it was an awesome day because it was my 15th birthday and I went and showed an Aussie for my birthday!  After the B Match was over we went and stayed in a hotel and hung out and went swimming.  We went out to eat and then we went back to the hotel. Hope and I did each other’s nails. We also stayed up pretty late talking and laughing. We had an awesome time and we also did an awesome job.

Hope and I were in the ring together and she beat me on my birthday but that’s ok though and she got first place. We both did a very great job and we both rocked it! I rocked it for my birthday. I had an awesome 15th Birthday. I just wanted to say Thank You Mrs. Kristie for letting us show your Aussie’s and that was very nice of you to let us work with your dog’s had a great time showing your Aussie’s.

Much Easier

Today my mom and I met Hope and her mom Mrs. Ernestine up at the grooming shop and Mrs. Kristy was letting Hope and I practice stacking her Aussie’s. We were doing lessons on how to stack a large breed dog and it’s easier stacking an Aussie then stacking a Mastiff.  It’s easier on a Aussie because they’re smaller then Mastiffs and Mastiffs are way heavier then Aussie’s.

Some Aussie’s do have a tail and some Aussie’s don’t have a tail. I like Aussie’s because they’re sweet and are laid back. They love people and other dogs. I also like them because they are the perfect size of dog for me to show. I also love their temperament and personality and I also love their different colors.

That was very nice of her to let Hope and I work with her Aussie’s and practice with them. I enjoy working and practicing with larger breed dogs and I enjoy stacking large breed dogs. It’s fun and exciting too. I just want to thank Mrs. Kristy for letting me work with her Aussie’s and I also want to thank her for letting me practice stacking them. That was so kind of you for letting us work with your dogs.

Today my mom and I drove out and we met Mr. Kirk and Mrs. Lori  along with Hope and her family at a dog park in Deland. Mr. Kirk and Mrs. Lori show big breed dogs called Mastiffs. They’re pretty big dogs and I have never been able to show a big breed. I’ve shown small breed dogs before so I’ve been wanting to show big breed dogs.

Mr. Kirk taught me how to practice stacking a large breed dog. This was my first time stacking a dog that big and it was pretty hard to stack a Mastiff. I think I did a pretty good job for my first time. It was fun and pretty awesome.

If I want to start being a professional handler and show peoples dogs for them I need to start practicing and working with large breed dogs. I also need to start going and watching other people show big breed dogs. When people see a Junior watching big breed dogs and they see you learning they will start asking you to show their dogs for them. That’s what my mom says and has been telling me all along and she’s right so I’m going to start doing that for now. Because if I don’t then people won’t ask me and that will suck.

People say it looks easy but when you do it, it can be very hard. I was struggling at first so that’s when Mr. Kirk came and helped me. We worked together. He said you don’t want to pick it up by the foot or the heel. You want to pick it up by the hip and for me it’s hard to pick up then leg of a large breed dog. They weigh a lot and they’re heavy. You want to grab the hip on the back legs and on the front legs. It’s hard for me because I don’t have a big hand like Mr. Kirk and my arms are a lot shorter. Once you keep practicing with a large breed dog you will finally get it.

Hope and her nephew Matthew and I are now in a newspaper and that’s pretty awesome. There was photographer there to ask us questions about the new Mastiff club. She took pictures of all three of the Juniors with the Mastiffs. We had to tell about ourselves and what we like about Mastiffs. I like Mastiffs because they’re huge and they’re sweet dogs. They are friendly with kids and they’re also a cool big breed dog. One thing I don’t like about them is that they have a big tongue and they drool a lot. That’s gross! The drool will get all over your clothes and hands. But you have to get used to it if you want to become a professional handler. It was a very fun day and also a very hot day.

Today we drove out to Hope’s house to take some pictures of me and my dogs and me handling my dogs. My mom took some pictures of Hope and her two dogs and her handling them too. And my friend Hope and I went to change into our show clothes for my mom to take some pictures of us.

She got pictures of me handling Teddy, Beamer and also Smoochie, one at a time. She got pictures of me free stacking Teddy with him looking up at me and him putting up his tail and ears. Free stacking is when the dog is stacking on it’s own. The handler has to get the dog’s attention to look up at them with the bait. You want to show the dog that you have the bait in your hand so the dog looks up at you. Some Juniors or some handlers will throw the bait so it gets the dog going or so the dog sees the bait or gets their attention. You shouldn’t throw the bait into the ring but you can throw it in the air and catch it so the dog looks up at you.

My mom is very good at taking pictures and documenting things. She’s a really good photographer. She loves to take pictures of everything and put them on the blog.  She took pictures of Hope and I free stacking our two dogs Teddy and KC. We both did a great job and even daughter and father did also an awesome job putting their tails up.

Teddy is the father to KC and KC is the daughter to Teddy. Teddy is the bigger one and KC is the smallest one. Hope is the one showing the smallest one is KC on the left and I’m the one showing the biggest one is Teddy on the right.

My mom got a picture of me walking Teddy and holding him and she also got a picture of me walking and holding Beamer and she got a picture of me walking Smoochie and holding Smoochie. And then my mom got a picture of Hope walking KC and holding KC and she also got a picture of Hope walking and holding Spike. We all did an awesome job.  It was a very nice day to take some pictures of us handling our dogs.

Today we had a B match and we brought Hope and her family. We had a blast and I am now part of the Tampa Bay Chihuahua Club! My friend Hope and her mom Mrs. Ernestine are now part of the Tampa Bay Chihuahua Club too.

The B Match was a blast with fun and amazing memories.  I showed the smooth coats, Smoochie, Beamer and also Kara and Hope showed the long coats, Bubbles KC and also Rainy. She also showed Spike too. Hope did a very good job and I did a very good job as well. We had to get a couple of our dogs micro chips and they were $14!!!

You have to go to two meetings to be part of the Tampa Bay Chihuahua Club. I’ve been attending the Tampa Bay Chihuahua Club meetings with my mom for a very long time so now I’m part of the club.

They have the B Match at Mr. Pat Mattie’s house in his front yard. They always have a meeting first and then the B Match. The Judge was Mrs. Barbra. Mrs. Barbara was an awesome Judge! She was patient and calm with each puppy.

Beamer loves to show! He was all happy go lucky. Beamer is so adorable. I was so very proud of Smoochie because she did a very great job and she got Best Junior Puppy. That was very cool and exciting.  There were a few pauses and stops in the ring but that’s ok. For the most part she walked with her tail and head up and her tail held high. Smoochie is a smooth coat and she’s white, tan and black and she is 4 months old.

I also showed Kara and she is a very shy dog and she’s never been on a lead before. Mrs. Vicky asked me to help train her so this was her first time being on a lead. We all had an awesome time. We’re just showing for fun. We all must give Mrs. Barbara a huge Thank you for her amazing help and patience. What an awesome day it was Today.
